A Westport woman is building mental-health awareness through her online business.

21-year-old Kate Kenny is the founder of "Costal Customs," which features her own branded beach apparel.

The Southern Connecticut State University nursing student says "costal" is Latin for ribs, which protect the body.

She says the tranquility of the beach has always helped to protect her mental health.

Kenny added the best part of her mental health journey has been helping others through her online business.
