Thousands of yellow toy ducks hit the water in Westport Saturday to raise money for charities.
The 15th annual Great Duck Race involves about 4,000 toy ducks dropped from a giant front loader into the water, and then the race is on.
The toy ducks make their way down a 160-foot long course.
Each toy duck has a number on it that people can buy tickets for. The first 10 ducks to cross the finish are the winners and the people who bought the tickets for those win the prize money.
Tickets cost $20 and all the money goes to help the less fortunate.
"All the money goes to charities to help people in need -- local, state, regional nonprofits, as well people internationally," said Liz Wong, president of Westport Sunrise Rotary.
