Weston rollover crash injures driver, causes hydraulic fluid spill
One person was injured Thursday after a rollover crash in Weston, according to fire officials.
Weston police, fire and EMS responded to Greenfield Drive near Walker Lane just after 7:30 a.m. Firefighters found a garbage truck rolled onto its side and stabilized the vehicle.
They say the rollover caused a 30‑gallon hydraulic fluid spill. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection was notified, and officials say a third‑party contractor cleaned up the spill.
The driver was evaluated by EMS for non–life‑threatening injuries.
Greenfield Drive was closed for about two and a half hours and reopened around 10:15 a.m.
