A West Orange cafe is battling "egg-flation" with a new initiative that they hope will have customers flocking to their establishment Tuesday.

Harpers Cafe on South Valley Road posted about the initiative on Instagram with the caption "Eggstraordinary coffee, no yoke!"

"With everything going on, we gotta get creative here at Harper's so on Tuesday, March 11, you can buy your coffee with an egg. Don't believe me? Come down, bring an egg, get a coffee," the post said.

The response from people who follow Harper's Cafe on Instagram were largely positive, ranging from praise to amusement.

The cafe serves both breakfast and lunch and offers multiple egg dishes including breakfast sandwiches and platters. On a previous Instagram post, the cafe commented on cost of eggs.

"Do you see the price of eggs? Some have suggested hiking up the prices on our menu. I won't just yet, but I thought about it," the post states. As of right now, the initiative will take place this Tuesday only, but in one of the comments, the cafe indicated they may repeat the coffee-for-eggs exchange again in the future. Harper's Cafe is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
