FORECAST: Storm Team Meteorologist Michele Powers says even though autumnal equinox is only two days away, summer has been fighting back. With the dry air and sunshine, temperatures have remained above normal. It won't be quite as warm through the weekend. Tomorrow will feature the onshore winds again and a partly sunny sky.
The storm offshore slowly drifts out of the area through the weekend and the weather will turn cooler. Sunday will be slightly cooler with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Temperatures will cool off on Monday too, the first full day of the fall season.
Fall is off to a dry start, but showers may pop up later in the week. The rain doesn't exactly look like a slam dunk for next week either. If this weather pattern holds, we may not be looking at very much rain. It's best to keep watering your gardens during this time.
Coastal flooding during high tide will be an issue through the weekend.
