Water service has been restored to East Brunswick residents affected by an overnight water main break.

Crews completed repairs Tuesday after a 12-inch water line ruptured on Old Stage Road near Pawnee Road.

The break occurred late Monday night, leaving some residents without water service beginning around 11:30 p.m.

Others reported low water pressure or discolored water as crews worked to address the issue.

Work continued through the night and into Tuesday morning.

In addition to replacing the damaged water main, crews also replaced a fire hydrant in the area.

Officials say service was fully restored before noon.
