A major water main break is impacting hundreds of customers in Nyack.
A water department official says the pipe burst happened around noon near the intersection of Clinton Avenue and South Broadway.
The 12-inch pipe break is forcing traffic to be rerouted between Brookside Avenue and South Broadway.
Nyack Water Department Superintendent Thomas Lynch says the water main break is also impacting the system significantly in that there's been a drop in the reservoir. Residents are being asked to conserve water.
The Village of Nyack says water has been restored throughout the system on Saturday afternoon except for those in the immediate area of the main break.
The village says notifications will be posted on the impacted homes.
Lynch says if repairs go over four hours, a boil water order will go into effect depending on who's service is being impacted
