Humidity rises on Wednesday in the Bronx; tracking evening storms for Fourth of July

News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Allan Nosoff says humidity will rise slightly for Wednesday with showers potentially arriving Fourth of July evening.

NEXT: On Wednesday, the humidity will be up a tad with dry conditions. Fourth of July on Thursday features many dry hours too; however, some evening storms may develop.
Fireworks timing unfortunately may be impacted to some extent. A downright tropical feel will hit going into the weekend with daily late afternoon storm chances, especially Friday and Saturday.
TROPICS: Hurricane Beryl made history by becoming the earliest known Category 5 in the Atlantic. It is now weakening but expected to directly impact Jamaica tomorrow as a powerful Category 3, one of the island's strongest storms. Then, Mexico will likely see a landfalling Category 1 or 2 on Friday before potential U.S. Gulf coast impacts late in the weekend.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear, comfortable. Lows near 66. .
WEDNESDAY: A few more clouds and a touch more humid. Highs around 84. Lows up to 71.
THURSDAY – FOURTH OF JULY: Hazy, hot and humid. Highs near 87, feeling like 90+. Most BBQs are good to go, with only a rogue pop-up shower during the afternoon. Pop-up t-storms are likely after 8PM, the exact timing will be crucial to whether fireworks can go off or be canceled. The best chance for storms is at night. Lows near 75.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy showers and thunderstorms likely through the day. Timing TBD, but this will be the worst of the extended holiday weekend. Highs near 88. Lows near 74.
SATURDAY: Partly cloudy, hot and very humid. A chance of strong-to-severe storms late. Highs near 89. Lows near 76. SUNDAY: Mostly sunny, hot and very humid. The driest day of the extended holiday weekend. Highs up to 91, feeling like 95+. Lows near 75.
