A Wantagh man is facing a long list of charges after police found a large amount of illegal drugs in his home.
Court documents say Nassau County Probation Officers were searching Daniel Posner's home on Darby Road as part of his probation when they found a large amount of illegal drugs.
They found about 85 grams of what is believed to be crystal methamphetamine, 15 grams of a substance believed to be ketamine, various quantities of methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) and gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) stashed in multiple locations and safes throughout the home.
Posner is now charged with 11 counts of criminal possession of controlled substances.
He was arraigned Thursday in Hempstead.
"It's just scary to know that. We have little children here," says resident Roseann Figliolia. "This shouldn't happen in a neighborhood. It shouldn't happen anywhere."
"They were just pretty much here all day, searching the house, the cars, the garage," says Wantagh resident Mary Socha. "We saw someone bringing out one guy in handcuffs."
Karen Johnston, Posner's attorney, tells News 12 she's been assigned to the case now. She will be meeting with Posner and reviewing the court documents.
Johnston is also representing him on a previous case involving drugs from 2022.
The house is now boarded up and there's a fence around the property. There's also a sign on the door deeming the house unfit for human occupancy.
