Connecticut, Governor Ned Lamont and Republican challenger Ryan Fazio are spending election day heading to the polling places around the state. Now Lamont began the morning voting in Greenwich. He was met there by a crowd of Democratic supporters hoping to see him win a 3rd term in office. Fazio meantime voted early, so he spent the morning campaigning across southwestern Connecticut, including in Fairfield. Both candidates told News 12 they feel confident about this race. Take a listen. I think people feel like we've made real progress in this state over the last 8 years, but they know we have work to do, especially when it comes to bringing down the high cost of healthcare. Governor Lamont had 8 years to do it. It hasn't gotten done, so our campaign is offering a vision for a more affordable future with more opportunity in the state. More than 500,000 Connecticut voters had already cast their early ballots, according to the secretary of the state.
