News 12 was at the Street Community Center in New City to speak with Election Day voters.
People there said it was a “smooth” process without long wait times.
News 12 did not see any lines there.
"It's very quiet,” said Robin. “Previous years, there's been much more, you wait online a little bit. Now it's quiet. I'm sure a lot of people voted early as well."
"We've always voted after work, so it's always been like a higher flow at that time,” said one woman who lives in New City.
Most voters were with family and friends. Some parents brought their children to see the process firsthand.
There are 212,221 registered voters in Rockland County, according to the county's Board of Elections. Thousands have already voted before Election Day. County data shows that more than 60,692 people in Rockland voted early and as of Monday, 16,279 people returned absentee ballots.
