Residents and town leaders in Harrison are concerned over an ICE arrest caught on video. Viral video posted Wednesday shows children clinging onto the man detained.

Men marked “ICE Police” are seen taking a man into their vehicle on Harrison Avenue.

“That's something out of a horror movie, let alone real life," said Denis, of Paterson. "So I can't believe something like that happened here in Harrison.”

“Completely heartbreaking," said Jericho Jackson, of Kearny. "There was children clinging onto the guy, and they just like pushed one kid to the floor. That was ridiculous. I didn't even know that that happened.”

The Harrison mayor and town council published a statement, saying ICE agents reportedly stopped a car and removed a man while children and others watched. The viral video shows an additional masked agent approach the scene and throw what looks to be a teen to the ground.

Town officials said they have asked the Harrison Public School District to identify and provide counseling for any students impacted.

“It's definitely something different when it's so close to home," said Jackson.

ICE did not respond to News 12’s request for comment.
