The driver of a Freightliner tractor-trailer lost control on the New Jersey Turnpike Wednesday morning in Teaneck, triggering a four-vehicle crash, according to New Jersey State Police.

The crash occurred around 7:43 a.m. in the northbound express lanes near milepost 119.2.

Police said the tractor-trailer lost directional control, striking the center median and an IHC box truck. The IHC truck was pushed forward into a Cadillac SUV, which then rear-ended a Hyundai box truck.

The drivers of the Freightliner, Cadillac and IHC box truck sustained minor injuries and were taken to an area hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Video from the scene showed debris scattered across the left lanes of the Turnpike and significant damage to the Freightliner and IHC box truck.

The crash remains under investigation.
