An East Flatbush store owner is looking for answers after his business was vandalized Monday night.

Surveillance video shows two people in hooded sweatshirts walking into the store at Utica Avenue and Linden Boulevard, then throwing large objects at a refrigerator, shattering the glass doors, before running off.

The owner, El Hakem Diakite, said his son and a customer were inside at the time. Diakite said in the 15 years they've been there, nothing like this has ever happened.

"I don't have any issue with nobody," he said. "I never think about something like that going to happen."

News 12 reached out to police for more information and is waiting to hear back. Diakite also said he filed a police report and is just thankful no one was hurt.
