Westchester County is expanding property tax relief for veterans, active-duty military members serving in combat zones and surviving spouses of service members who died in the line of duty.

County Executive Ken Jenkins signed four new local laws that increase property tax exemptions for eligible veterans and military families.

County officials say the changes will provide meaningful financial relief to veterans and others who qualify for the expanded exemptions.

The new laws apply to eligible veterans, active-duty military members serving in combat zones and surviving spouses of those who died in the line of duty.
