A firefighter who recently faced health challenges was treated to a warm welcome home on Friday.
Edmund Miley was at North Westchester Restorative Therapy and Nursing Center after suffering a stroke. His wife, kids and dozens of Mohegan Lake firefighters surprised him with a full escort.
Miley was captain of the Mount Vernon Fire Department for four years and served with the Yonkers Fire Department for 26 years.
He also once saved five people trapped in a fire, and the heroic deed bestowed upon him the Yonkers Fireman of the Year.
