The U.S. Postal Service is planning to raise prices through the peak of the 2026 holiday season.
The agency filed a notice Tuesday with the Postal Regulatory Commission regarding the adjustment.
USPS officials say it will help cover extra handling costs.
It will impact Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, USPS Ground Advantage and Parcel Select.
If the proposal receives a favorable review from the PRC, the price change will take effect on Oct. 4 and end on Jan. 17.
