A man is facing federal charges for allegedly trying to meet a child for sex in Orange County.

Prosecutors say 30-year-old Anthony Parente believed he was talking to a 14-year-old girl, but it was an undercover police officer.

Authorities say he drove from the Albany area to Middletown to meet her.

Investigators say he had bondage equipment with him and admitted he wanted to have sex with a child.
