A tractor-trailer lost control and jackknifed on I-80 in Elmwood Park early Friday, setting off a chain-reaction crash involving two other trucks.
State police say troopers responded around 3:17 a.m. to I-80 west at milepost 60.8.
A preliminary investigation found the Freightliner tractor-trailer struck the left concrete barrier before re-entering the roadway and jackknifing.
A second tractor-trailer then struck the side of the Freightliner before hitting the rear of a Mack garbage truck.
No injuries were reported at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
