Two people were rescued from the Hudson River on Thursday after falling from a cliff at Norrie Point State Park.
The Town of Hyde Park Police Department says a 911 call made early that morning reported the victims plummeted around 15 feet into the water below.
Police, fire, EMS and specialized rescue crews responded to the scene. Officers located the two people in the water and fire department personnel helped remove them.
The individuals were treated by EMS at the scene before being taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The events leading to the fall were not immediately clear. Police say they are not releasing the identities of those involved “due to the medical nature of the incident.”
