Bridgeport police say a vehicle connected to a shots‑fired incident on Trumbull Avenue Thursday afternoon was later recovered after a pursuit that ended in Trumbull, with two suspects taken into custody and a third still outstanding.
Police say eight rounds were fired around 2:30 p.m., though investigators have not determined whether shots came from the vehicle or were fired at it. The Honda Civic involved had been reported stolen from North Branford on June 23.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers spotted the vehicle at Lindley Street and North Avenue and chased it through the East End and into
Trumbull, where the car crashed and all three occupants ran from the car.
Two suspects were captured: 19-year-old Giovanni Gonzalez and 19-year-old Kayano Gordon. Both were taken to Bridgeport Police Headquarters and face multiple charges related to the stolen car and chase.
Police say Gonzalez was found hiding near a door leading from a garage into a private home. Gordon was located riding a stolen bike and later spotted washing his feet in a bucket near a pool.
The third person who fled has not been identified or located, but police say they do not believe there is any current threat to the public.
