Two people were killed in a shooting early this morning near Columbia Park in Jersey City.

The fatal shooting happened on Old Bergen Road, the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office said on its X page.

Bullet markings were visible in the sidewalk at the scene next to the park. News 12 counted 14 evidence markers at the scene.

A section of Winfield Avenue is closed as police remain on scene. The road has since reopened.

No information on the victims or suspects has been released.
