A man in Croton-on-Hudson can continue flying his Donald Trump flag just days after the village told him to take it down.
Over the weekend, Lenny Amicola was issued a notice of violation and a court ticket for flying the flag, which officials said violated a village code banning banners. The case was dropped on Tuesday.
Village officials say the routine code matter turned into a "national spectacle" and led to threats against staff. They also say they were contacted by the U.S. Justice Department.
Amicola's attorney says she wants assurance the village won't allow this to happen again.
