CURRENT TROPICAL SYSTEMS National Hurricane Center is tracking Tropical Storm Isaias southwestern Gulf of America. The system continues strengthen and is forecast to become the 1st hurricane of the season on Thursday.

There is no immediate tropical threat to the Tri-State area. However, we will be watching the system closely over the next several days. Depending on its track and how it interacts with other weather systems, some tropical moisture will move north toward our area.

Right now, Sunday afternoon into Monday morning is the time frame to watch for a possible increase in rain across the Tri-State. There is still plenty of uncertainty with the track, timing and amount of moisture, so continue to check back for updates as the forecast becomes clearer.
