Our tri-state drought monitor has not drastically changed yet, but with more rain in the forecast this weekend it could mean some improvement.
In New Jersey and Hudson Valley, we accumulated monthly rainfall in just mere few hours last Tuesday, Aug. 6.
Rain totals from last week ranged 1 - 4 inches and could positively impact drought status detailed in the following drought monitor reading.
A wetter mid to latter half of August holds promise across New York, Long Island and New Jersey.
