The Trenton Ironhawks held their first public practice Monday morning at CURE Insurance Arena ahead of the team’s inaugural season.

The practice was free and open to the public and marked the team’s first public appearance on the ice at its Trenton home.

The Ironhawks are scheduled to play their first ECHL home game at CURE Insurance Arena on Oct. 24 against Adirondack. The home opener is set for 6 p.m.

The team is led by head coach and director of hockey operations Chuck Weber. Its roster includes longtime ECHL veteran Mitch Heard, ECHL All-Star Easton Armstrong and New Jersey native Anthony Firriolo.

The Ironhawks are affiliated with the NHL’s New York Islanders and the AHL’s Hamilton Hammers.
