Kim Orlando, founder of She Buys Travel, says travelers are shifting their focus from where they’re going to why they’re going in the first place.
This season’s top travel trends are all about intention and personal purpose.
One trend gaining major momentum is solo female travel. Orlando say more women are booking solo adventures that give them freedom to explore on their own terms.
"Solo female travel gives them more flexibility. They appreciate being able to run on their own agenda, eat what they want when they want,” said Orlando.
Another rising trend is ancestry travel. It’s travel with a deeper purpose.
"Ancestry travel isn't just travel, it's travel with purpose. When you want to get started, start with a DNA test, get your family records,” explained Orlando.
Orlando also suggests finding destinations that feel international without the long-haul flight. Think of a scenic day trip or quick overnight stay - the key is to design a trip that’s right for you.
"This is your trip, include downtime. Also remember you don't have to go far, you don't have to go overseas, you don't have to go for seven days, you can go overnight if you just want to get started,” said Orlando.
