A tractor‑trailer hauling a crane caught fire and shut down all southbound lanes of I‑95 this morning in Harrison.
Pictures from a News 12 viewer showed the truck fully engulfed in flames before 6 a.m.
The fire erupted just after Exit 18 for Mamaroneck and White Plains. Police say it was a brake fire that spread to other parts of the trailer and the load. No tickets were issued.
The highway partially reopened shortly after 7:30 a.m. and fully reopened around 8:30 a.m.
No injuries were reported.
