Leaders in New Windsor say immigration officials have been using an office in the area for months without the town’s knowledge.

The town supervisor says ICE employees are working out of office space on Union Avenue.

The property owner confirms “Federal Immigration Attorneys” have been using that office for four months under a contract with the general services administration.

The office is about 16 miles from an abandoned warehouse in Chester.

News 12 has been told ICE officials want to use it as a ‘detention center.’

Local residents and politicians have been fighting that plan.
