Three teenagers have been charged in connection with a fatal shooting that killed a 28-year-old Keansburg man last month.
Authorities say the charges stem from the July shooting death of Paco M. Moore, 28, of Keansburg.
Keansburg police responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting on the 40 block of Carr Avenue at approximately 8:56 p.m.
Officers found Moore suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Prosecutors say one juvenile suspect has been charged with murder, attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a community gun.
A second juvenile faces weapons-related charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and possession of a community gun.
Both juveniles are being held in a juvenile detention center.
A third juvenile has been charged with hindering the apprehension of another person and was released to a guardian pending future Family Court proceedings.
Authorities are not releasing the names of the suspects because they are minors.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office and Keansburg Police Department continue to investigate the case.
