FORECAST:
We’re enjoying a stretch of pleasant summer weather, and that’s going to stick around for the next couple of days before things start heating up again next week. The humidity is dropping, which means the next two nights will feel really comfortable, maybe even a little cool. Skies have cleared up nicely, and that trend looks set to continue into the weekend.
On top of that, the air quality has gotten better, which is great news. One thing we’re missing right now is rain. Chances for showers are pretty slim, even as we head into next week. Southwestern Fairfield County is currently experiencing abnormally dry conditions. It’s not a drought yet, but if the dry spell continues, we could be heading in that direction.
There is a slight chance for showers and thunderstorms around Tuesday and Wednesday next week, thanks to a passing front.
As for the heat it’s coming back starting Sunday. Highs next week will climb into the upper 80s and low 90s, and with humidity on the rise from Monday onward, it’s going to feel even hotter.
