A new bag policy will soon go into effect at the Prudential Center ahead of the Devils’ new season – and many fans want to see those who made that decision placed into the penalty box.

The new policy states that bags larger than 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches are prohibited from entering the Prudential Center. That is roughly the size of a clutch or an iPhone.

Large handbags and backpacks are banned.

When the Devils posted about the new policy on social media late last week, many were quick to voice their complaints.

“That might be the size of my wallet,” one person posted.

“I am convinced the Devils don't want fans to attend games. MSG network conspiracy, keep 'em watching from home,” another wrote.

Not everyone was against the policy.

One user said that it was “a great way to speed up security and get everyone through the checkpoints faster. All you really need is your ID and wallet anyway.”

The Devils host the Flyers in the season opener on Oct. 1.
