A man was seriously injured during a Thanksgiving Day house fire in Islandia, according to authorities.

Fire officials say the flames erupted at the Serpentine Lane residence around 4:30 p.m.

The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment.

Police say arson detectives are investigating the cause of the blaze.
