Fire officials in Darien are investigating a late-night fire that destroyed a photo and framing store on Boston Post Road.

Fire Marshal Robert J. Buch says the fire happened at Big Shots just after midnight.

Buch says no one was in the building at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported, but several businesses next door were also heavily damaged.

Co-owners of Ilya Rafael Salon say they'll be closed for at least the next three months, but reopening could take up to a year.

"We're hoping for good and to restore the place," Ilya Gavrielov says. "Thank God everybody's safe, but you have to move on, life is like that...you don't know what could happen tomorrow, and you have to deal with it."

Repair crews were on the scene Friday afternoon.
