WHAT TO KNOW
A fall-like feel envelopes New Jersey over the coming days. Nights will be cool and the days will be pleasant and warm. The next opportunity for wet weather could possibly appear on Thursday. (But new guidance coming into the weather center is suggesting that the rain chance is looking low.) Fair weather locked in over Michigan is pumping in that crisp-feeling air. Nighttime lows could be the coolest in three months as a result.
Skies will be clear, and temperatures will be comfortably chilly. Open up the windows and let that fresh air in. You may have to grab an extra blanket in northwest parts of the state, with temperatures fading into the low to mid 40s.
Tuesday is a "Goldilocks" day - not too cold, not too hot, but just right. Daytime highs on a very light breeze will warm to the mid- and upper 70s. A normal high this time of year is exactly 80 degrees. So we are looking at slightly below-average temperatures to start the week.
The rest of the week is seasonably warm and dry. The opportunity for wet weather rears up on Thursday with a weather system slowly drifting towards New Jersey from the Great Lakes. The energy in this storm is weakening as it arrives, so the chance for rain doesn't look to be overly soaking or problematic.
