A 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg in Longwood late Thursday.
The teen was taken to the hospital and is listed in stable condition, officials said.
It remains unclear what led to the shooting at Home Street and Reverend James Polite Avenue or whether the teen was the intended target.
Thursday’s incident marks the second shooting involving a teen in the Bronx this week. On Wednesday, a 14‑year‑old boy was shot while on his way to school in Soundview.
Police are asking anyone with information about the Longwood shooting to contact the Crime Stoppers hotline.
