Teen critically wounded in Belmont shooting
A 17-year-old boy was critically wounded during a shooting in Belmont, police say.
He is at least the third teen to fall victim to gun violence in the Bronx this week. Officials say it happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday near 760 East 183rd St.
The boy suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, according to police.
Paramedics rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Information about what sparked the shooting was not immediately known.
