A 13-year-old boy was hit by a car while riding his bike Friday afternoon in Bethpage, according to police.

Authorities say the boy was traveling near Farmers Avenue around 4:30 p.m. when a 2022 Tesla struck him.

A Nassau County Police Department helicopter airlifted him to a hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

Police say the 35-year-old driver of the Tesla remained at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
