Remember the old song, The Futures so Bright I gotta wear shades? Well, high tech shades are all the rage right now. Here's Eric Lantzgronner with Tech Check. I'm back here with John Velasco, senior editor over at Tom's Guide. Uh, John, let's talk about what people wear when they go outside. They've got the rays beaten down on them. You want a good pair of shades and obviously we've spoken about some of the high tech that they're packing into them. You have the newest version, the new, the newest from Meta, yeah, this the, uh, Oakley Meta sunglasses, smart sunglasses, um, slight improvement over the Ray-Bans, uh, you have 3K video recording. It has longer battery life. Hours, but it only comes in one design so it's either you love it or you hate it. Definitely a sportier style and has meta AI so you can ask AI to do a bunch of things for you. So to your point, I'm holding the, uh, the meta Ray-Ban. This is the Wavefarers, the ones with the transition lenses here, um, and, and I've actually used these a couple of times, most recently, uh, over the July 4th weekend used them, uh, caught some pretty, pretty good images actually, the fireworks you're in the moment. Take the video. You don't have to worry about anything, and they have a lot of different styles Wayfarer, the headliner, and now Skyler, so different styles. Uh, Clark Kent, I am not, but I'm gonna take these off. Um, very cool though, because they are a conversation starter, but as soon as somebody notices the little lens, yep, yep. All right, so now this is one that you've spoken about before. It was a prior version. These are the solos, Air Go V Krypton 2. So solos basically their smart glasses also. With um chat GPT functionality, these the difference is is that they have the cameras built into it, correct? Yes, well, actually one of the few that has the cameras built in, and I love that you have the modular design. You can actually remove the frames and then charge it and then swap them out something else and and any of these really you can if you wear prescription lenses you can put your own prescription in these absolutely.
