The SUV in a hit-and-run crash that killed Nickelodeon star Kianna Underwood has been recovered, police said.

Underwood was struck by two cars Friday night along Pitkin Avenue and Osborn Street.

Police sources initially told News 12 that the driver was in custody, but said that is no longer the case Tuesday morning.

Police say the sedan dragged Underwood's body for two blocks before both vehicles fled the scene.

Authorities confirm that the vehicle recovered was the Ford Explorer SUV that first struck Underwood last week.
