Suspicious materials that were found inside a Tallman home were determined to be cleaning products.

Dalewood Drive in Tallman had been blocked off for hours as Ramapo police investigated the suspicious materials found inside a home.

It was initially believed that the materials were products used in the making of illegal narcotics.

Police continued the investigation and determined it belonged to the homeowner and was being used as part of a cleaning process.

Federal partners, who were present on scene and assisting with the investigation, confirmed the materials are safe and legal.

Men in hazmat suits were seen entering the back of 3 Dalewood Drive, with Tallman firefighters close behind outside. The Rockland County Sheriff’s Office, county hazmat team and local fire department were also on scene.
