A Suffern woman is dead following a crash involving a garbage truck in Ramapo, according to the Ramapo Police Department.

Police confirmed the 38-year-old woman died in the crash on Route 202 Monday morning and was the driver of the Nissan involved.

Her identity has not yet been released.

Her passenger was taken to a hospital.

Route 202 is currently closed between Lime Kiln Road and Route 306 as police investigate.

The garbage truck driver was screened for drug and alcohol impairment and has tested negative.
