Students on Saturday protested the sudden closure of Connecticut's two Job Corps Centers in New Haven and in Hartford.
The Trump administration is shutting down the 50-year-old program at the end of this month, just weeks before graduation.
As a result, the fate of 350 students is now uncertain.
"It is definitely up to the beautiful staff that you see around here to support and put our arms around the students, to try to keep them focused in what they came to do as far as their goals go," said Juvenel Leveros, of the New Haven Job Corps Center.
Job Corps offers housing and job training to those from ages 16 to 24.
This week, a judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration from eliminating the program.
