A structural engineer says the frame of a building that collapsed in Mott Haven Wednesday is "perfectly safe."
Residents and neighbors are concerned about the structural integrity of the building after the
partial collapse Wednesday morning.
"The skeleton is intact; the corner was blown out. The key is going to be because the other building which are very similar in the area," said engineer Wikeor Wasilewski.
The building complex in Mott Haven was built in 1966 and houses more than 3,500 residents.
