A storm system will move into our area on Thanksgiving and unfortunately weather conditions do not look ideal.
Rain and wind will damper the festive celebrations for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Light showers arrive after 5 a.m. with winds gradually picking up throughout the day.
Wind gusts could reach up to 30 mph, nearly reaching the threshold of gusts at 34 mph for the iconic balloons to not go up.
Temperatures will be cold in the 40s throughout the parade.
Rain totals are forecast to range between 0.50-1 inch.
Despite the dreary weather, the parade will go on and the celebrations will be lively.
If you’re heading to the parade, grab a winter coat, umbrella and rain boots.
