WHAT TO KNOW:
  • A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Sullivan, Ulster, and Dutchess counties until 3 p.m.
  • Showers and isolated thunderstorms expected mid morning until 5 p.m.
  • Mainly cloudy but rain less likely this evening and Sunday.
  • Next storm arrives Tuesday.
  • Hot Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
On and off downpours are expected this morning through midday in the Hudson Valley. The chance for rain decreases in the late afternoon and evening, so dinnertime plans look mainly dry, although mostly cloudy. Sunday also looks generally dry and cloudy. We can't rule out a stray shower.
It's been a warm and humid finish to the week. We tied the record yesterday for "warmest daily low temperature". The temperature only briefly dropped to 68. Today is another hot and sweaty start, but cloudy skies and on and off morning downpours will keep temperatures in the 70s. Here's what to expect for the next few days.
