Rain amps up for rush hour and starts to clear out later tonight. It will clear first for northwest New Jersey and slowly taper off for central and south as we get more into very early Saturday hours.
A mostly dry weekend is to follow. Saturday is mostly sunny with what is expected to be pleasant temperatures that feel brisk due to winds. Sunday is a bit colder before Monday moves in with 50-degree temperatures. That's not the only flip-flopping of temperatures. The next week will be bouncing between the 50s and 40s and back again.
Rain clears out early Saturday morning then the rest of the weekend looks mostly fine. Some random flurries/raindrops are possible for parts of northern New Jersey on Sunday, but it is not looking major.
We are dry through Tuesday and the midweek, and we have rain and mixing chances back in the forecast.
It is worth noting that despite temperatures in the 40s and 50s, wind will at times combine to make this feel much less pleasant. Forty degrees on Saturday will feel more like the 20s and 30s. The low on Saturday right now is looking to be 19 degrees but will feel closer to single digits due to the wind.
As we take a peek at February's climate normal, on average we expect around three inches of rain. The mean high temperature is usually around 43 degrees and the mean low temperature is usually around 27.
Happy last day of January and cheers to the beginning of February.
