STORM WATCH: Pockets of heavy rain with thunderstorms hit Thursday

Watch for minor street flooding.

FORECAST:
Dust off your umbrellas and rain jackets, it's now time to wear them again.
It's been a while, but some substantial and much needed rain is heading our way into and through Thursday.
There will be some embedded thunderstorms with heavy downpours. Watch for wet roads in the morning.
Expect to see rain on and off with more thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening.
Some thunderstorms could become strong or severe with a risk of stronger winds and even a small risk of a tornado.
Please stay weather aware and have a way to get any warnings quickly.
Rainfall totals could go as high as 2-3 inches in spots, and this may cause some street flooding.
The rain will continue into Thursday night and wrap up early Friday.
Drier weather will return but the weekend may see more clouds than sun.
TROPICS UPDATE:
There is a new tropical storm in the Central Atlantic. This storm is named Humberto. Forecasts keep this storm over the ocean for several days, becoming a hurricane over the weekend.
