Low pressure will develop over the area this morning and move just to our north. Any rain will taper off during the morning commute. Many areas have received over an inch or rain. This will be the first time that significant rain has fallen since August. Much of this afternoon will be showery with gusty winds up to 30 mph. Southern New Jersey will remain dry. Much colder air will move in from the north tonight and Friday. Wet snow may fly at this time, especially over the hills of Northwestern New Jersey. A couple of inches of snow is possible over the highest elevations tonight. Showers are expected elsewhere. There will be a break in the precipitation Friday morning with more rain and snow showers likely developing during the afternoon.
