The cold will loosen its grip in steps the next couple of days. High pressure will slip off the Southeast coast allowing for moderation in temperatures. Today will still be chilly and the wind will add a bite. Snow showers are possible over Litchfield County tonight for a few hours where a spotty dusting to coating is possible in spots. More seasonable conditions are expected for Sunday.
There are a couple of rain chances for next week. The first wave of showers comes on Monday. The second round will be on Wednesday. This looks to be more significant. Temperatures will be at or above seasonable levels through the period. Wednesday will be quite mild, despite the rain.
SATURDAY: Clouds and sun. High: 38.
SUNDAY: Morning clouds to afternoon sun. More seasonable. High: 46.
MONDAY: Mostly cloudy. Showers developing by midday. High: 47.
        TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy. High: 46.
        WEDNESDAY: Rain. Mild. High: 53.
THURSDAY: Mostly sunny. Much colder. High: 38.
